And it's another match!

Well, as of last Tuesday June 14th we have new news and I am just now getting around to posting (guess it doesn't really matter since right now only Jarrod and I can view this)- hopefully we can make it "public" soon.  It has been a crazy past couple of weeks though!
Five days after we found out we had been matched with a birth mom in AZ (who I posted about in my last post) we got a phone call from the same agency saying that another birth mom had also picked us- seriously??  I'll try to explain this as best I can... So, the agency we matched with also posts situations from other agencies that they either haven't been able to match or need more families for.  About a month prior we had asked to be presented on one of those situations that was through another agency (we did not know what agency though and just had a few details about the case).  Our agency said we would be presented to the birth mom that week so after a week or so went by and we had not heard anything we assumed she had been matched and moved on to other situations.  I think our agency also assumed the same as she eventually removed the situation from her list of available cases.  But Deb (the agency director) called us the evening of June 14th saying this other mom had picked us and for various reasons she wanted to give us the option of this situation also.  Apparently, the other agency took longer than expected to present us to the mom, hence the reason the agency and us thought she had already been matched.  So, the next morning we called this new agency we knew nothing about (other then what was on their website) and got more details on this situation.  This agency and birth mom are in Florida and she is due August 21st!  We also found out this mom had looked at a lot of profiles and had not found anyone she loved and then they showed her ours and she picked us!  Sooo after much prayer, advice and discussion we finally decided to switch to the mom in FL!
So here are a few details on our new birth mom!  She is due August 21st, 2011 in Florida with a boy!  It took a little time to get used to the thought of it being a boy verses a girl which of course is what we had prepared for last December, but we're excited!  She is excited to meet us and the week we matched the agency was already asking when we could come down to meet her.  So, we have made plans to fly down for the day on July 9th to meet with her.  We are excited and nervous.  We are just under 2 months from her due date- it seems so far away but yet I know it will be here before we know it!
For anyone reading this please be praying for us (for patience, to not be anxious, for the right words to say to our birth mom, that we would not have to experience another loss, etc), pray for our birth mom that she would continue to have a good pregnancy, that she would have people in her life that support her through this, that she would remain steadfast in her decision (and anything else you feel led to pray for her) and for this baby boy (that he would continue to be grow strong and healthy, he would be born safely and easily and that we can come up with a name for him LOL).  Thanks to everyone who is already praying for us and supporting us through this!

Take 2 (or maybe this is 3?)...

Well, its been several months since I've posted anything and the blog is private for now but hopefully I can make it public again soon and share our good news! We have still been pursuing adoption and have been presented on probably close to 12 situations since January (presented to birth moms or considered on cases). But no luck until today... we got the phone call tonight that we were matched with a birth mom. We are still in shock of course and I'm sure it won't really sink in for a while. This mom is due the end of December so its a long ways away still (at least as far as the adoption world goes). But she is due basically one year from our last adoption attempt. We don't have much detail yet as we are waiting on the agency to send us what they call her Social-Medical History. But considering our history and considering the it's still 6 month away we're as excited as you can expect us to be... :) We aren't planning on telling too many people right now, probably not until we are about 3 months away or so. But I guess today we start our count down, provided all goes well between now and then, we may be traveling in December. This is a different agency than the one we matched with last year. We were actually hoping to match with the same agency again but this seems to be a very good agency also and so far their director has been great with contact (even before we matched). So basically I am just writing this for myself and to document the date and all that. Hope to post again soon....
