Quick update but not really...

Well, as many of you now realize our birth mom's "due date" has come and gone, however this part we were aware may happen as she has been 1 and 2 weeks late giving birth with her previous pregnancies. (I was pretty much counting on her being late hence the reason I didn't start packing anything for me until this past Thursday). We were due to have a phone call with her on Thursday after her doctors appointment but so far the agency has not been able to get in touch with her and she has not contacted them.  So, we continue to wait and hope and pray that maybe she's just having a bad day(s), like we all do, and doesn't feel like communicating at the moment or maybe she has misplaced/lost her cell phone.  Her caseworker plans on going by her house on Monday so we are hoping to know something by then.
We're all too familiar with the "waiting game" but we're definitely getting a little antsy?/anxious at this point.  Please pray with us that birth mom and baby are doing well and that she will make contact with the agency soon or at least whenever she goes into labor.  We don't plan on going down to FL until we get the call that she is officially in labor.  We want the best thing for this baby and of course, God is the only one who knows exactly what that is right now but we do pray that birth mom is in the best state of mind she can be in when it comes time to make this difficult final decision.  Please continue to pray for us, birth mom and this precious baby boy.  We hope to have more of an update soon...

Getting Close!

Well, we're less than 2 weeks away from our birth mom's due date.  Time is flying by!  She's been 1-2 weeks late with her other children but so far they feel she is still "on time". On July 9th we flew down to Florida and had lunch with her and her caseworker, which went really well.  It was good to get to know her a little bit and talk with her in person and she said she appreciated getting to talk with us in person too.  And today we had a phone call with her just to check-in and see how she is feeling.  Everything still seems to be on track.  We are panning on driving down when we get the official call that she is in labor.  The day will be here before we know it!
Please continue praying for us (patience, health, energy, less anxiety!) and for our birth mom (healthy & safe delivery, easy recovery, to remain firm in her decision, her salvation) and of course for a healthy baby boy!  Oh, and also please pray for all of our financial needs to be provided- unfortunately, adoption is not cheap and it is and will be a huge financial commitment.  That being said, if you do feel led to give to us financially we would greatly appreciate this- we have a PayPal account set up (see the right hand side of this page; there is a small fee for us to do it this way) or you can always go the cash or check route :)  For anyone wanting to send cash or check it can be mailed to P.O.
